Shvana: Explore Our Robotic Companion

Shvana is packed with a suite of sensors that act like eyes and ears augmenting situational awareness of users.

Vision based detection and recognition, industrial grade audio perception capabilities combined with advanced DSP (digital signal processing) helps measure, isolate and identify various types of sounds in the surroundings in real time.

Thanks to the reinforcement learning algorithms and onboard computational power, Shvana can quickly adapt to new surroundings.

Shvana’s Application

Shvana can be deployed in various industries due to its ability to navigate challenging terrains. Some common applications of such UGVs include search and rescue, precision agriculture, construction, entertainment and education. Our primary focus is in situations where human lives are at risk – defense and industrial environments.

Defence & Homeland Security

Shvana can be effectively used by various divisions of armed forces for:

  • Strategic area monitoring
  • Border patrol & surveillance
  • Tactical situations
  • Explosive detection
  • Search and rescue operations

Shvana also offers the possibility of carrying EW (electronic warfare) payloads, munitions etc. Shvana is designed to carry a 9mm gun and can be modified to carry a carbine to be deployed in combat.

Advanced target tracking software helps track targets in real time to take offensive actions. With onboard image recognition capabilities, it can distinguish between friend and foe.

Industrial Environments

While the possibilities to use Shvana in industrial environments are endless, a few use cases are:

  • Confined area entry
  • Hazardous/Corrosive environment inspection
  • Routine field checks – detecting leaks, abnormal sound, etc
  • Detecting hotspots
  • Handling radioactive waste
  • Fire fighting

Shvana can carry can also walk in the field areas/shopfloor along the designated path to carry out required tasks.

A few payloads Shvana can carry include:

  • Robotic arm
  • High resolution RGB/thermal cameras
  • Specialized sensors

Immersive Simulation

Extensive simulation is at the core of our design and validation process. Before our robots step into the real world, we rigorously test and fine-tune their capabilities in a virtual environment.  Physics based models allow us to recreate a variety of scenarios, from dynamic terrains to complex motions. For this purpose, we designed our own obstacle course to replicate a real world scenario. This ensures that when Shvana is deployed, it’s not just ready – it is optimized to hit the ground running.
